Q&A @ BAZIQUEEN FACEBOOK (and the Art of Asking Questions)

Addendum II: it seems that there has been a bit of a misinterpretation of this post. The idea is not for you to ask questions here. It is to ask questions via the FB page. READ carefully below.

Addendum:

Barring unexpected circumstances, I will most likely run the FB Q&A sessions regularly now at the same time. Now that everyone has seen the first run, look forward to interacting more with people through the FB Q&A sessions.

A few things about tomorrow’s session.

The Q&A will be conducted via the Comments section. So I will indicate the Q&A is starting by posting in the Status Update session and you can post your questions into the Comments box. So that I know you’re addressing your question to me and not the audience, please prefix your question with @Baziqueen

On the types of questions, the usual caveats apply. NO PERSONAL QUESTIONS about your charts. I am not here to give free advice unless the question is UBER SIMPLE (which naturally does not exist in the world of BaZi when it comes to personal questions).

Technical questions of course about charts are fine. However, you might need to be a bit specific regarding the details. So please provide a DM and Season reference before asking your question.

It is utterly and totally pointless to ask a generic question (there are very few such questions in BaZi) without referencing the Day Master.  So don’t ask questions that are ‘general’ because there’s no such thing as a general question when you are trying to evaluate something about the chart.

ie: Someone posted this on the FB comments section: An unrooted weak DM with strong resource and strong wealth, should we just focus on strengthening the DM element as the tipping point of balance?

The correct answer to this question is how long is a piece of string?

It depends. What is the DM? Does the DM use Resource well? How can Resource and Wealth both be strong, it’s possible, but I need to see the chart to know for sure this evaluation is correct. Balance can be achieved in many ways – and ultimately, IT COMES BACK TO THE DM.

So please ask specific questions. And provide concrete examples. Questions of the ‘what if’ waffly variety will get you no answers and simply can’t yield any answers anyway.

The other reason for asking for a DM and Season is to confirm that you have actually READ the chart correctly. There are many times when people offer up a question on Strength/Weakness for example, and they have it completely round their necks because they quite simply, have evaluated the chart wrongly (common problem: don’t look at HIDDEN STEMS).

Looking forward to doing Q&A tomorrow!

    Hi, @ baziqueen

Would March2011 be an unsuitable month for delivery of babies due to the fu yin of the month pillar (xin mao) and the year pillar (xin mao) ? What are the consequences of this month?

    Thanks & regards

    Hi @baziqueen,
I have a question about a Xin(辛) DM ( 辛卯day) born in 丙戌 month.

    – Could I ask if the Mao-Xu combination will take place successfully?
    – if the combination happens, what is the implication for DM? (especially with his parents, since the month pillar rep family)
    – lastly, if there is abundant Earth in a Xin(辛) DM’s Bazi chart (like a Xin born in Xu Month), does it make the Xin shy, less showy and more reclusive?

    Thank you!

I hope, Baziqueen won’t mind me giving my 2 cts worth here.
Whether Mao-Xu will combine to produce fire successfully would depend on the whether the chart is now going thru supporting wood or fire LPs or not. In certain cases where Fire is in the stems, the combo would work. This is because Fire comes out of storage from the Xu. A Xin having plenty of earth would be slow and lazy (due to abundance resource). If earth is exposed, it would cover the Xin rendering him/her not so effective/visible.

    Thanks Ipohite39! 🙂

    – Hence, if Xin DM is born in Bing Xu month then combination takes place. But really, what are the implications of this combination for the Xin DM? i.e Bing-Xin = Water and Mao-Xu = Fire

    – But one thing’s certain, the combination doesn’t subtract the aplenty earth problem right? Since there is Wu Earth in the Heavenly stem, in the form of Wu Zi birth hour.

    – By the way, can an abundance of Earth be also interpreted that the male Xin DMs mother is domineering, overpowering and rigid?

    Thanks.

Re Combinations – why are people so fixated on them?

I think it is because people have not been convinced enough that it isn’t significant. After all, if punishments/clashes have been well discussed why not combis?
    Hmm…

Implication of the combis? Need to narrow it down to some specifics to answer that for example, in terms of relationship with elder brother in “close range” situations etc. There’s different answers for “long range” as well and older brother as well. It’s all about defining and taking it into tiny chewable bits of teeth gap size cakes Haha.

Strong earth for Xin can mean pretty laid back person or domineering mother in specific teeth size cakes situations yes. Haha

    Ipohite39, thanks again! 🙂

The thing is, if it is Xin Metal born in Bing Xu month, I am assuming that you meant the Bing Fire on the month’s stem is Xin’s older brother?

Can the implication be investigated as Xin Dm (older brother) and Bing on month’s stem (younger sister)?

    Thanks!
